Two post on one day?

Unfortunately I am not creating anything right now, we are in the process of trying to sell our house so my studio is going, going, gone. In the packing process I have came across a few things and snapped some pics.
An envelope from another member of this blog before we ever met in person.

A few of my favorite cans (shoutout to CJ)…

When this brand meant something.

A major influence of all my work (1st edition)…

If anyone else is wanting to take a trip down memory lane let me know… I got a bunch more and a lot of it is not flattering.

Getting though the dog days of summer with my art and self indulgent hobbies. Football will be here soon, Basketball shortly after that. Excited about change and chasing the American dream. Also check out my website, some new stuff up on it.
Chasing the American dream.
Things Lying Around

Laying around? Lying around? I dunno. Some Printosaurus stickers and good ol’ hand drawn stickers for a pack to send to the homie, Point. But honestly, these will probably sit around for at least another few weeks before I even attempt to send them out. Check out his blog at pointtoosicks.com.
Having Kris Kanaly visit is always an inspiration. His awkwardly stylish and stylishly awkward style evolution has just enough swirls, cat butts, and eye balls to make me want to get back on my letters. It was a fun time and a great show.
More piles o’ art from the June show at 2631 Gallery…
A few tees and totes from the show are currently in Screen Tee Gallery in Westport. Check them out and support the local hustle. Swing through Thursday the 29th for free beer and live music. And some Printosaurus gear. Seriously, I’m broke. Screenteegallery.com has more info.
I know I wasn’t the only one geeking out over another Os Gemeos interview with Caleb Neelon. (I’m pretty sure this same issue had a Harvey Pekar interview as well, RIP). Those guys are incredible. Thanks again to Thomas for scouring the Earth for the classic Twelve Ounce issue with the original interview.
Speaking of geeking out, this is the newest acquisition that Lauren snatched up for me. Thanks for supporting my habit. And a few more gems from the collection.
And as if that isn’t enough eye candy, I’ve gotta show my current stash. If you’re a Kansas City head, or a coffee head, than you can appreciate these selections from those Broadway Roasting Badasses. (I think that’s their official name?)
Keep an eye out for more from Printosaurus. Hopefully the website will be up soon. Like really soon. I think this time I mean it.
We’ll have some new shirts and prints for sale at the Art Incubator’s Cocoon Gallery along with lots of other amazing printmakers on August 6th.
Now, to set up some screens for Brett Millard’s new zine and some new shirts from Aaron Sutton. I’ll throw some flicks up of it soon. Sooner than later. Probably.

R.I.P. HARVEY PEKAR
Posted on July 12th, 2010 • Filed under General • No Comment
At this point, what else could happen to Cleveland? Longtime graphic novel author Harvey Pekar, perhaps the world’s only true “realist”, has died. Pekar became known for the graphic novel he wrote “American Splendor,” which for a time was illustrated by the legendary R. Crumb. Pekar garnered a great deal of attention for his chronicle of his bout with lymphoma as well as his appearances on David Letterman. Pekar wrote stories based from his real and lifelong place of residence Cleveland, Ohio. He portrayed all of life to his viewers, giving them insight into what it was like to live in a midwestern city with industry, and consequently life, leaving it steadily. His loyalty to a sinking ship was admirable, his words and stories important, and life was not in vain. RIP
…they’re gone…
…shines for an instant next to seemingly infinite constants…
Learned how to cook a whole fucking chicken at once.
Whatever.
State Of Shock: WTF LeBron?

Wore my Cavs jersey in public to watch “The Decision.” Big Mistake.
LeBron Hates Grandmas.
I thought New York would have been interesting.
Yep, Thats me….
I watched the press conference. It was awkward. LeBron sometimes speaks republican. He says buzz words without actually saying anything. Chris Bosh was without ego and well spoken but it really seems like Dwayne Wade and LeBron may butt heads eventually.
Atleast we still have on more Worldcup game.
And George Michael.
This Landmark from my hometown closed up. Seems fitting to mention it in the same post.
Snapshots from a time with more hope, more things possible.
Atleast a county museum bought the sign.
Nostalgia and Regret hanging out. R.I.P. White Haven R.I.P. Loyalty.
